N’Golo Kanté’s net worth is estimated to be around €20 million. He earned money from playing football for several clubs, including Chelsea, Leicester, and Al-Ittihad. He also owns a football club.

N’Golo Kanté is one of the highest-paid football players in the world at the moment. The former Chelsea midfielder joined Al-Ittihad club on July 2023, after his five-year contract with Chelsea club expired.

Kante is a French national born to Malian migrants. He was born on the 29th of March 1991 and was raised in Rueil Malmaison, Paris, France.

The down-to-earth footballer has gained worldwide recognition for being one of the best midfielders and maintaining a humble lifestyle despite earning a hefty salary.

So, how much is N’Golo Kanté’s salary per month? Where does he live, and which car does he drive? Does he own a football club? Well, read on to find out.

N’Golo Kanté’s poor background and career

Kante comes from a small, close-knit football family consisting of two brothers and one sister. One of his brothers, as well as his sister, are professional football players.

The family migrated to France in 1980 for greener pastures and settled there. Unfortunately, N’Golo’s father passed away when the footballer was only 11.

The siblings had to survive under the care of their mother. Later in 2018, one of his brothers, Niama, also passed away due to a heart attack just before the World Cup Kick-off.

While growing up, Kante did several odd jobs to help his mother make ends meet. At one point, he worked as a garbage collector.

Luckily for him, he was able to discover his talent quite early, and by the age of eight, he had already joined JS Suresnes football club, where he played for close to 10 years.

Unlike most footballers, Kante is known for maintaining a humble lifestyle and does not like showing off his wealth with flashy, expensive cars.

For about five years at Chelsea, N’Golo used to own two Mini Coopers estimated to be worth around £24,000.

He bought the first Mini Cooper in 2015 when he signed for Leicester. He bought a second one after signing up for Chelsea and shipped the other one back to France so he could use it when back home.

Kante valued this Mini Cooper so much that he was seen driving it, even after a minor collision with a lorry on King’s Road in Chelsea that left the front wheel dented.

After the lockdown, Kante surprised his fans when he bought a new Mercedes Benz. The French footballer was spotted driving his new motor when he arrived for his training at Chelsea. The new Mercedes is estimated to have cost the football star around £70,000.

Another interesting fact is that, unlike other footballers of his class, there is no record of Kante owning mansions or living in big houses.

The football star has not made public whether he owns any house but has managed to keep that part of his life personal.

N’Golo Kanté’s move from Chelsea to join Al-Ittihad football club in the Saudi Pro League came with an enticing package of €100 million (£86.2m) in a year.

This means that N’Golo Kanté’s weekly salary is approximately €1.9 million (£1.6m). This is around €8.33 million (£7.2m) every month.

The former Chelsea midfielder and France National team player finalized this deal to join Al-Ittihad after his five-year contract with Chelsea expired in June 2023.

The talented midfielder received offers from two Saudi clubs, the Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr, but he chose to join the former.

Kante follows Karim Benzema, who joined Al-Ittihad in June 2023 from Real Madrid after his contract ended. Benzema is said to have signed a deal worth €100 million (£86.2m) for each season lasting two years.

Cristiano Ronaldo was the first big name to switch to Saudi Pro League from Manchester United. Ronaldo signed a contract worth €200 million (£173m) a year with Al-Nassr club in December of 2022.

N’Golo Kanté owns Royal Excelsior Virton club

As of July 1, 2023, N’Golo Kanté became officially the new owner of the Royal Excelsior Virton, a Belgium-based football club.

RE Virton club came with the slogan “Small town, big dreams,” perhaps synonymous with Kante’s humble qualities and high-achieving spirit.

The new Al-Ittihad player and former Chelsea midfielder bought the club from its former owner, Flavio Becca, who ran it from 2018.

With his management team, Becca is credited with keeping the club financially stable when it was on the verge of collapsing and then promoting it to division 1B.

Royal Excelsior Virton is set to play in the Belgian National Division 1 for the 2023-24 season after they stepped down from the Challenger Pro League in the same year.

There is so much anticipation for the RE Virton club, with Kante hoping to revive the club’s youth academy training and stabilize the staff.
