Arjan Singh Raikhy loved football and was an avid fan from an early age. His parents, noticing this and afterwards, signed him up for the West Bromwich Albion Football Academy in his early teens.
However, after featuring for The Baggies, he soon switched shirts in preference for the local club The Claret and Blues (Aston Villa)near his home town.
Arjan was a regular starter for Aston Villa Under-18 Youth Team and participated in the EFL Trophy 3-1 match loss to Carlisle United in the 2019–2020 season. However, he would soon get redemption the following year by being an integral part of the FA Youth Cup Under-18 winning team that beat Liverpool 2-1.
Arjan Raikhy’s loan spells
The fete would propel Arjan into the senior team, where he debuted on 8th January 2021 in the FA Cup third tie round. Arjan signed his professional contract with Villa the same year and was sent on a season-long loan to Stockport County for more playing time.
Arjan would be recalled to Villa before being sent on another loan deal to Grimsby Town, where he helped the team secure promotion back to the Football League.
Despite his impressive loan deals, Arjan was released by the Villans on 16 June 2023.
Signing for Leicester City
Despite the several setbacks in his playing career, Arjan Raikhy had always showcased will and grit. His hopes of returning to playing professional football again received a massive boost when an elite championship club came calling for his signature.
Arjan’s return to professional football was confirmed by a social media post acknowledging the FA Youth Under-18 finalist was joining 2015-2016 Premier League Champions, The Foxes, on a free transfer on 17th August 2023.
