Who is Ines Rau?
Ines Loan Rau is a French model born in Paris, France, in 1990. She is of North African descent, having been born to an Algerian father and a French-Moroccan mother.
She rose to fame after being featured as the Playmate of the Month in Playboy’s November 2017 issue, becoming the first transgender playmate model for the magazine.
She has also received much attention in recent months after being rumoured to be Kylian Mbappe’s new girlfriend.
Ines Rau, as a kid, was raised as a male. However, at the age of 16, she underwent gender reassignment surgery after having been inspired by the story of transgender model Caroline “Tula” Cossey.
The French model started as a dancer in Ibiza, where she met and became friends with David Guetta. She then ventured into modelling, posing for magazines such as OOB and Playboy (before being featured as a Playmate).
She has also been featured in Vogue and worked as a model for top fashion designers, including Alexis Bittar and Nicole Millar.
On top of being a model, Rau is an activist. Since coming out, she has been a vocal supporter of transgender rights. She has also used her story to support other transgender individuals and minorities.

While the PSG star and the French model are public figures, they are very private about their personal lives. As a result, there is very little information about their relationship history.
Rumours about Ines Rau being Mbappe’s girlfriend started in May 2022, when the duo were spotted together during the Canes Film Festival.
The claims were solidified when photos of the two (captured by paparazzi) emerged, showing them having fun on board a yacht. In one paparazzi shot, the PSG star can be seen carrying the French model in his arms, alluding to an intimate relationship.
Unfortunately, despite rumours that they have been dating for months, neither party have confirmed the relationship. On top of that, there haven’t been any more public appearances or sightings of the duo. Therefore, as of now, reports of them dating are only speculation.
